ACDelco will give NASCAR(R) fans around the world a chance to talk racing with one of its newest stars, Dale Earnhardt Jr., during a unique online audio chat session on the ACDelco Web site (http://www.acdelco.com).
The chat will be held Tuesday, June 1 from 8 to 9 p.m. EDT, and will use cutting-edge technology to allow visitors to hear Earnhardt Jr.'s responses as well as read them. "Using the latest online technology, we are pleased to offer this exciting audio chat with one of the most successful and popular drivers in racing today," says Ken Robinson, director of advertising and sales promotion for GM Service Parts Operations (SPO).
"This chat will be a first for ACDelco because it will allow participants to type in questions and have them read to Dale Jr. by an interviewer.  Fans will be able to hear why we believe his dedication, hard work and dependability really exemplify what ACDelco stands for." Earnhardt Jr., the 1998 NASCAR Busch Grand National Series Champion, will take a break from the track to chat with fans about his championship season, the future and what he's learned from his father, Dale Earnhardt, a seven-time NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion.
"Because of my hectic schedule, I don't always have as much time as I'd like to meet with fans and just talk," says Earnhardt Jr. "An online chat allows me to show my appreciation to loyal fans and to my sponsor at the same time."
