"That que-ball headed fool"
July 24, 1999 - That's what Dale Earnhardt Jr had to say about Todd Bodine's late race incident when he attempted a pass on Earnhardt Jr, spinning Earnhardt into the wall. "The car was a little tight. I was trying to give everybody room. Everybody was racin' me clean except that que-ball headed fool who can't get by us without wreckin' us", Earnhardt said after coming out of the ambulance. Earnhardt was running fourth at that time with 10 laps remaining in the race. Andy Santerre won his first career Busch Series race. Matt Kenseth took over the points lead by 24 points over Dale Earnhardt Jr.

July 21, 1999 - The Myrtle Beach sand was supposed to bring relief to injured NASCAR Busch Series Grand National Division point leader Dale Earnhardt Jr. last weekend, but after a disappointing 25th-place run in the Myrtle Beach 250, he was anything but relaxed. Full Story
