Also as a father of age fifty with two sons I see and appreciate your pride in your daughter. She is cute!
My oldest son is going to make me a grandpaw this spring......he and his wife are expecting their first child
shortly...( a little girl ). I know I sound proud........but I knew you could appreciate my excitment.

| Comments: I would just like to express my sympathy to the Earnhardt family, I now that it has been almost two weeks now since the death of the greatest racing legend in the world but I can sympathize with the family I lost my father almost 4 years ago and it dosen't get that much easier to forget the pain, you just num it out after a while. Dale Earnhardt was my father's and I favorite Nascar driver, Dale gave us a very exciting time watching him race which are memories that will last me to the day I die. | Comments: I have never been a real big follower of NASCAR. I've always followed the big races, but Dale is the reason I follow NASCAR. I always saw a little bit of him in myself. I too was a very intense competitor when I plaied High Scool and College sports and the two years I spent in the Yankees minor league organization. I will always cherish the memories of watching Dale race. The one lasting impression of him is of him spinning dougnuts in the infield track after he won the Daytona 500, that was a great day, he drove his butt off.
I want to wish the entire Earnhardt family the best and I will pray for each and every one of you.
To Dale Jr., you are now my number one driver I wish you all the luck in the world and from what I've seen so far from your young career, you definately are on your way to the top. If anyone can fill your fathers shoes it would be you. I know I will be pulling for you !!! Good-luck
You all should and have great reason to be very proud of Dale and what he stood for, he was a great man and one hell of a race car driver.

I would like to suggest that the decal given to RCR in memory of Dale be offered to his fans as both a decal and on hats. The profits could be used to establish a fund to assist the familys of other race drivers who find themselves in a similiar situation. Over the last few years I have been restoring a black '79 Corvette. I would work on it Sun afternoons while listening to the races . It goes without saying that I always pulled for the #3 on those afternoons. It's never going to be the same for any of us again.
